Pure Snorkelling’s half-day afternoon reef tour takes guests to some of the best and least crowded reef sites in the region. The fast vessel reaches the reef in just over an hour, allowing more time for snorkelling. With access to exclusive moorings, guests explore vibrant coral gardens, tropical fish, giant clams, and sometimes sea turtles. The tour is designed for confident swimmers with previous snorkelling experience, ensuring safety and comfort. All snorkelling equipment, including wetsuits & stinger suits, is provided.

Check-In at Cairns Marlin Marina
Arrive at the Cairns Marlin Marina and check in directly at the boat on D Finger, starting at 11:45 am. Meet the crew, listen to a safety briefing, and prepare for departure at 12:30 pm.
Travel to the Outer Reef
Enjoy a quick journey on the high-speed vessel, traveling at up to 24 knots. The skipper will choose the best reef location for the day based on weather and conditions, ensuring an optimal snorkelling experience.
Snorkelling Adventure
Arrive at one of the exclusive reef sites such as Briggs Reef or Moore Reef. Snorkel among colourful coral gardens, tropical fish, and giant clams. Flotation devices are available for added comfort, but strong swimming skills are required.
Return to Cairns
After approximately two hours of snorkelling, enjoy the ride back to Cairns, arriving between 5:00 and 5:30 pm, depending on the reef location.

What To Bring
When packing for a reef tour, think of it as preparing for a day at the beach. Recommended items include swimmers, sunscreen, sunglasses, a hat, a water bottle, and dry clothes for after your aquatic adventures. If you plan on snorkeling, wearing a rashie can be beneficial as it provides sun protection without the need for excessive sunscreen. Don't forget to bring a towel and your swimsuit.
